Furthermore, players can fine-tune the sensitivity of the sticks, giving them greater controller over their gameplay experience. It also allows users to quickly swap between profiles, in addition to offering slip-resistant inner grips. New data now reveals that the DualSense Edge is the best-selling gaming accessory of 2023 in the US based on revenue.

This information comes from Mat Piscatella, Executive Director & Video Game Industry Analyst at Circana, confirming that the DualSense Edge was the best-selling accessory of 2023 in dollar sales. The DualSense Edge was also the best-selling accessory for June 2023 in the US, as spending on accessories increased 14% when compared to the same period in 2022. Additionally, the report reveals that PlayStation 5 DualSense controllers were the top 4 best-selling accessories of June 2023.

As the data is based on dollar sales, it probably doesn’t come as a surprise to see the DualSense Edge at the top. This expensive PlayStation 5 controller costs $199.99, a massive increase from the standard DualSense controller which is priced at $69.99. Still, it's an impressive achievement considering the high entry point of the controller.

Fans interested in purchasing the device should note that the DualSense Edge has a relatively weak battery life, so gamers playing wirelessly may have to charge it quite often. Thankfully, the DualSense Edge comes with a 2.8M long cable, allowing users to play from a considerable distance from their television sets.

The report from Circana also revealed some interesting data on video game sales in 2023, confirming that Hogwarts Legacy is the best-selling game of the year in the US. Games like Diablo 4 and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom place high in the rankings as well, with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Resident Evil 4 also a part of the list. Diablo 4 was the best-selling game of June 2023, with Final Fantasy 16 and Street Fighter 6 taking the second and third slots.
